Bluebells in Oversley wood

First post in a very long time. Had a quick walk around Oversley Wood today to photograph Bluebells, think I may have been a little late though as I believe the displays were past there best.

Backlit Teasels

Quick picture of some backlit Teasels, I quite liked the lens flare it added some interest to the picture (IMHO). A Goldfinch feeding on them would have been the icing on the cake.

Attempt at video at River Arrow Nature Reserve.

First attempt at using the video function on my camera, lots to learn but something that I intend to spend some more time trying to master. Video editing is going to be another ball game all together, so much to learn, so little time.

Mighty Oak

A few more shots from yesterdays walk along the River Arrow, a couple of  old Oak trees and another one of the Arrow from inside the nature reserve in Alcester.

Looking through some old slides.

I was looking through some old slides the other day, specifically looking for old pics from my motorcycling days to share with old friends on Facebook. I also found a few nature slides so I decided to scan them on to the computer to show them here.

At Last Some Warm Weather

At last some lovely warm weather, and luckily I had the day off work so I was able to get out and make the most of it. I walked along the same stretch of the River Arrow as in the previous posting, as this is generally a bit quieter than the nature reserve. Managed to get these shots of a Banded Demoiselle, A Speckled Wood showing why they are so aptly named, on the floor in a copse with dappled light, a Red Campion and lastly a small shoal of Perch showing in the shallows, unfortunately I did not have a polarizing filter for the Perch shot as this would have made it a bit clearer
