House Martins

This pic shows one of the House Martins nesting on the back of our house with a good beak full of insects. It is the 5th year that the nest has been used, I am pretty sure that this is the second brood of the year.
There appears to be a good population of House Martins around our estate, as the sky is always full of them.
It is always fascinating to watch them feed and to listen to the soft chirruping from the chicks.

  1. That's a great capture! We used to have them nesting under our eaves until someone!!!! removed them!

    Great that they keep returning.
